💡 This page tracks Chase Sapphire Reserve "Edit" credit-eligible hotels across Asia-Pacific where a 2-night stay comes in at or near the $250-per-stay credit, so the credit actually delivers value instead of barely denting the bill.
Why this research exists
The Chase Sapphire Reserve's Edit benefit gives cardholders up to $500/year in statement credit — $250 per stay, twice a year — toward hotel stays booked through Chase Travel's curated "Edit" collection. Two conditions apply:
- The stay must be prepaid through Chase Travel
- It must be a minimum 2-night booking
The credit is a flat statement credit, not a discount at booking, so it only delivers real value when the actual 2-night cost of the room is close to or under $500 combined. Book a $150/night hotel and the credit makes the stay nearly free. Book a $1,500/night resort and the $250 barely moves the needle.
Because the Edit list only includes pre-set luxury properties (Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Langham, Oberoi, Raffles, IHG luxury brands, etc.) and prices vary wildly by market — a $150/night Four Seasons in Jakarta vs. an $800/night Four Seasons in Bali — the only way to find real value is to price out every eligible hotel in the region. That's what this research does: ~190 Edit-eligible properties across 20 Asia-Pacific countries, priced for Dec 1–3, filtered down to the ones where the math works.
🏷️ 2026 added a second, stackable $250 credit ("Select Hotels") for IHG, Omni, Virgin, Montage, Pendry, Minor Hotels, or Pan Pacific properties. Any hotel below flagged for either program is a candidate for up to $500 off a single stay.
How to use this table
- Start with the hotels near the top of each country group — they're the strongest value relative to the $500 threshold
- Check the IHG and Other Select Hotels Brand columns first — a ✅ in either means that stay could stack both credits (verify current eligibility before booking, terms can shift)
- Treat ⚠️ Estimate rows as a starting point, not a quote — pull real Dec 1–3 rates before booking anything not marked ✅ Confirmed
- Rates are priced for Dec 1–3, 2026 specifically — re-check pricing if your dates differ
⚠️ Important: Chase Travel pricing vs. booking direct
The nightly rates in this research were pulled from general travel sites (Kayak, HotelsCombined, Tripadvisor, hotel direct sites) — not from the Chase Travel portal itself. This matters for two reasons:
- Chase Travel's own rates can run higher than the open market. It's a white-labeled booking engine (via Expedia's platform), and its prices don't always match — and can exceed — what you'd find booking directly with the hotel or through Kayak/Google Hotels. Always pull the actual Chase Travel rate for your specific dates before booking.
- The Edit credit only applies if booked through Chase Travel, so if Chase Travel's rate is meaningfully higher than the street rate, the effective value of the $250 credit shrinks. Gut check: compare the Chase Travel quoted total (2 nights + taxes/fees) against a normal OTA quote for the same dates and room type. If Chase Travel's price is inflated by more than the credit amount, the "worth it" math can flip.
- Resort fees and junk fees — common across Southeast Asia and at some Four Seasons/Ritz-Carlton properties — aren't always reflected in headline rates and can also erode the credit's value.
Bottom line: use this table to shortlist hotels worth investigating, but always price-check the specific hotel and dates directly on Chase Travel before booking. The rates here are directional, not final quotes.
